Jeff Gerbe is back in a Whitecaps uniform.
The right-hander is back from his brief stint with the AA Erie SeaWolves. The MWL All-Star made 1 start for Erie on June 9th, allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs, in 6 innings. He didn't receive a decision that night.
In order to make room for him on the roster, Eleazor Aponte was sent to the the short-season Oneonta Tigers of the NY-Penn League. His ERA is 6.55 with a combined record of 2-5 with 12 appearances with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, and 2 with the Whitecaps.
